Protect America's Borders

As a Border Patrol Agent, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the nation's borders and protecting its citizens. You will be responsible for detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

• Detect smugglers and apprehend aliens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions.
• Prevent illegal entry of persons or contraband through tracks, marks, and other physical evidence analysis.

• GL-9 grade level requires one (1) year of specialized experience performing duties such as federal law enforcement activities .


• GS-11 grade level requires one year of specialized experience with authority granted by state/government to enforce laws, make arrests, investigate crimes.
