The Border Patrol Agent role is a challenging and rewarding position that involves safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.

• Maintain surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations.


• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders.


• Interpret physical evidence of illegal entry such as tracks, marks, etc.
