This role involves serving as a law enforcement professional responsible for safeguarding the nation's borders. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of an elite team working to prevent and apprehend individuals who violate immigration laws.
Job Description
The primary responsibilities of this position include detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers at or near the borders, interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry, performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks, patrolling international boundaries using government assets such as vehicles, horses etc.
and analyzing information rapidly making prompt decisions in connection with law enforcement matters developing maintaining contact with informants.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The qualifications required for this position are specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level performing duties such as:
- Performing physical searches detained individuals their vehicles surroundings weapons contraband currency evidence.
