Key Responsibilities:

The Border Patrol Agent plays a pivotal role in maintaining national security by detecting and detaining individuals attempting to cross international borders illegally. The agent's primary duties involve conducting thorough inspections of travelers, their belongings, and documentation to ascertain their legitimacy for entry into the country.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree may be preferred by some agencies.


• A valid driver's license is mandatory as agents often patrol vast territories via vehicle or on foot.   


• A minimum age requirement applies (typically 21 years old) due to the physically demanding nature of this job.  


• Candidates must pass rigorous background checks prior to hiring including drug screenings with regular follow-up tests after hire date being fairly standard among most federal & state agencies protecting public safety.."),
