The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer is responsible for enforcing customs, immigration and agriculture laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include enforcing border security policies; preventing illegal entry into the United States; conducting inspections on individuals and cargo carriers; identifying potential threats through intelligence techniques;

• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. 


• Domicile: At least three years residency in U.S. within last five years required. 

The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.SC. 8412(d).
