• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to verify citizenship or identify violations.
• Maintaining surveillance from covert positions, using infrared scopes during night operations, to prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the border.
