Duties and Responsibilities- Identify individuals who may be attempting to enter or exit the country illegally, inspecting documents and questioning people suspected of immigration law violations.
- Pursue apprehension of undocumented noncitizens by tracking marks, signs of entry points of persons or contraband using various techniques such as infrared scopes at night operations.
- < li >Candidates selected for a Border Patrol Agent position will undergo an extensive training program that prepares them for work in this exciting field. They'll learn about US Immigration Laws, Law Enforcement Techniques & USBP Operations through classroom instruction, hands-on training exercises with experienced instructors and evaluations which assess their ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations . These highly trained agents receive opportunities like annual pay increases based on satisfactory performance reviews combined with potential promotions over time allowing advancement up several grade levels.< /li >< /ul>, ,
