Senior GCP Cloud Infrastructure Engineer 📍 Bristol / Leeds / Halifax / Manchester / Edinburgh (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) 🕒 Contract – 6 months with extension (Contract) 💰 Rate – Market rates (Inside IR35) Role Overview Our client, a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions is urgently seeking an experienced Senior GCP Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Public Cloud Platform team and support the delivery of secure, scalable, and automated Google Cloud solutions. You will play a key role in enabling rapid and seamless cloud adoption by engineering reusable cloud products, improving platform reliability, and driving DevOps best practices across the organisation. Working within a cross-functional engineering team, you will contribute to platform design, automation strategy, and infrastructure modernisation initiatives in a large enterprise banking environment. Key Responsibilities * Design, build, and manage Google Cloud infrastructure solutions * Develop reusable infrastructure using Terraform / Terraform Cloud * Engineer scalable GCP cloud products and automation workflows * Build infrastructure automation using Python scripting * Manage container platforms including GKE and Kubernetes * Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Harness, Jenkins, GitHub) * Enforce security, compliance, and governance controls using policy-as-code (Sentinel / OPA) * Audit and improve existing Terraform modules and state management * Support migration of legacy configurations into reusable templates * Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and cloud adoption Essential Skills & Experience * Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) * Proven expertise in Terraform / Terraform Cloud (IaC) * Experience building automated solutions using Python * Strong knowledge of Kubernetes / GKE / containers / service mesh * Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines * Knowledge of GCP Organisation Policies and cloud governance * Relevant GCP and/or Terraform certifications APPLY NOW for further details on this exciting new opportunity
