We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and support the culinary staff in creating memorable dining experiences. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in developing and executing menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation personnel, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet restaurant standards.
- Manage food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Enforce food safety standards and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
- Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality, fostering a positive team environment.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards.
- Experience with restaurant operations, including team management and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with the food industry trends and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; prior restaurant management or leadership roles are highly desirable.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
