Pharmacy Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position involves assisting with medication preparation, patient care, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Duties

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
• Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
• Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacy staff.
• Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations.
• Organize and maintain pharmacy records, including prescriptions and patient profiles.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
• Experience in a hospital setting is a plus, particularly in understanding patient care protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $41,000.00-$55,101.00 per year
