The CADD/Engineering Systems Support Specialist provides advanced technical support for photogrammetric, raster, GIS, CADD, and engineering project management software across client systems. The role involves help desk support, desktop and workstation support, licensing management, project planning, and acting as the State agent in problem resolution with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Provide first-level help desk and desk-side support for photogrammetric applications (e.g., ImageStation Orthopro, Stereo Display, Feature Collection, DTM Collection, Digital Mensuration, Automatic Elevations, Image Analyst). Provide support for raster products such as Bentley Descartes. Provide first-level help desk and desk-side support for CADD/engineering design software including ArcGIS, MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Bridge, InRoads Survey, OpenRoads Survey, and Bluebeam. Provide first-level support for engineering project management software, including Bentley ProjectWise. Provide support for plotter software, server configurations, and integration with plot devices (e.g., ProjectWise Interplot). Maintain State license pools for CADD and engineering software, liaising with software manufacturers for upgrades and issue resolution. Provide second-level Microsoft OS and Office application support. Support CADD/engineering workstations, desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices including large-format plotters and scanners. Troubleshoot hardware, software, drivers, BIOS, and application configurations. Plan and implement workstation and computer deployments, and provide input on server specifications and requirements. Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of Bentley ProjectWise administration experience. 10+ years providing photogrammetric software installation and support. 10+ years of Bentley MicroStation CADD management experience in a networked, shared environment. 10+ years supporting MicroStation-based CADD applications such as InRoads and Interplot. 10+ years supporting large-format plotters and scanners in a managed CADD environment. 10+ years managing multi-application/vendor software licenses. 10+ years in project planning and management. 5+ years supporting Bluebeam software. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems. Preferred Skills/Certifications:
Bentley certifications (e.g., MicroStation, ProjectWise, OpenRoads, CADD Management). Microsoft Certified Professional certifications. CompTIA certifications (A+ and/or Network+). Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
