The Role
The Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains data pipelines and infrastructure that support analytics and operational reporting. This role blends hands-on engineering with a strong focus on data quality, documentation, and cross-team collaboration. You'll work closely with technical teams, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and well understood.
What You'll Do
• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Integrate internal and third-party data sources to support analytics and reporting
• Optimize data workflows for reliability, performance, and scalability
• Design and maintain data models and storage solutions in cloud and database environments
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and adherence to security and compliance standards
• Create clear documentation for data pipelines, models, and infrastructure
• Partner with analytics, business teams, and leadership to understand data needs and priorities
• Support testing, validation, and change management for new or updated data solutions
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Experience in a data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar technical role
• Strong skills in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used for data engineering
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines or workflows
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data storage or warehousing solutions
• Ability to document technical solutions clearly for technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate across teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience with common data engineering tools or orchestration frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile or structured development processes
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
• Experience creating data flow diagrams or technical documentation templates
