A challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team of dedicated professionals in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as a Border Patrol Agent has become available.
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks such as detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, preventing and apprehending undocumented non-citizens at or near borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.
This position requires candidates with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters, ability to analyze information rapidly making prompt decisions where necessary.
To be successful as a BPA you must have the capacity for learning new regulations methods techniques through classroom training on-the-job instruction demonstrate sound judgment decision-making abilities handle stressful situations maintain composure gather concise information through questioning observation examination documents records OR possess superior academic achievement based class standing grade-point average honor society membership receive bachelor's degree Superior Academic Achievement graduate-level education field study related law enforcement amongst other requirements provided below please refer full job announcement details.
