A Border Patrol Agent is responsible for enforcing immigration and customs laws, as well as preventing smuggling activities at the border.

The role involves a variety of tasks including detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, and performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
