As a Border Patrol Agent (BPA), your main duties will include detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws. You may also inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations. Your role could involve preventing aliens from entering the country by maintaining surveillance in covert positions or tracking down smugglers using infrared scopes during night operations.

To be eligible for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience performing tasks such as physical searches, apprehending violators, making arrests with proper use of firearms, serving court orders, gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system. Experience with intelligence information analysis while working as a state or federal law enforcement official is desirable.
