About the Job
- Detect people suspected of violating immigration laws by inspecting documents and possessions.
- Pursue undocumented noncitizens using surveillance techniques during night operations with infrared scopes.
- Analyze physical evidence such as tracks or footprints left behind by unauthorized entry or contraband smuggling activities
To qualify for this position candidates must possess:
Bachelor’s degree OR one year general work experience demonstrating ability take charge make sound decisions maintain composure under stress learning regulations methods thru classroom training on-job instruction gathering information questioning observation examining documents records Similarly the GL-7 grade requires one (1) year specialized work involving skills use firearms effectively dealing courteous manner connected law enforcement matters analyzing rapidly making prompt decisions developing network informants
