The Role: Precision & Quality

As our Cylindrical Grinder, you aren't just "running a machine"—you are ensuring critical components meet exact engineering standards. Your day-to-day will include:

• Precision Machining: Operating cylindrical grinders, lathes, 4-jaw chucks, and centers to finish internal/external surfaces.
• Technical Interpretation: Reading blueprints and engineering docs to execute exact specs.
• Achieving high precision by machining or grinding external/internal cylindrical and tapered surfaces.
• Quality Control: Using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and dial indicators to verify your work.
• Machine Care: Monitoring and troubleshooting equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Teamwork: Collaborating with the shop team and safely using hoists/cranes to move materials.
• Safely transferring materials using lifts, cranes, and hoists.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Machinist or Cylindrical Grinder.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED and formal education in Mechanical Technology.
• The Skills: Expert-level ability to machine tapered and cylindrical surfaces.
• Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Certification (Bonus): Journeyman Machinist Certification or CNC experience is a major plus.
