Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of retail sales, and the ability to assist customers with their needs effectively. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales expertise and gain valuable experience in a dynamic retail environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
• Assist customers in selecting products and provide product demos when needed
• Operate POS systems for cashiering, cash handling, and processing transactions accurately
• Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management
• Perform cashier duties including handling returns, exchanges, and refunds
• Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
• Provide product knowledge to customers to enhance their shopping experience
• Support supervising staff in daily operations when required

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar stores
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and cashiering duties efficiently
• Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently when needed
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly attitude
• Knowledge of retail operations including upselling techniques and product demos
