Project delivery in a hospital setting offers a rare combination of operational urgency, regulatory rigor, and direct connection to patient safety. As a Project Coordinator, Building Services you'll support the delivery of maintenance and renewal work that keeps our systems reliable while minimizing impact on clinical operations. This role puts you at the intersection of infrastructure maintenance, safety/code compliance, and capital renewal projects. This portfolio offers variety, encompassing urgent operational needs and strategic improvements, while upholding the documentation standards and stakeholder engagement critical to health care environments. You'll work in a setting where every decision carries weight and every outcome contributes to the hospital's operational resilience. This is an opportunity for your strong planning skills to translate directly into the continuity and safety of patient care.
Is this you?
Managing competing deadlines in a hospital setting requires clear judgment around what is urgent, what is important, and what can be deferred, without compromising safety or operations. You consistently bring structure to complex environments, whether by coordinating maintenance schedules across multiple systems or tracking project timelines to keep deliverables on course. Your inputs to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) helps ensure data is captured and work is closed out on schedule. When priorities shift due to urgent operational demands or overlapping capital project phases, you assess, reprioritize, and keep stakeholders informed without dropping commitments. This strong organizational approach keeps projects moving forward and stakeholders confident in what's been planned.
Strong communication skills allow complex projects to move forward when multiple parties need to stay aligned. You bring clarity to planning meetings with department representatives, consultants, and project teams, ensuring that everyone understands the scope, schedule, and potential operational impact. Preparing reports and updates for leadership demands the ability to distill technical progress into insights stakeholders can use to make decisions. Collaboration with clinical departments, capital planning teams, and contractors requires you to adjust your approach depending on the audience. Your ability to listen, synthesize, and communicate with clarity ensures that projects proceed with shared understanding and stakeholders remain confident in what comes next.
Attention to detail in this environment isn't just about accuracy, it's about ensuring that safety and compliance are embedded in every phase of work. You approach the review and analysis of project drawings, specifications, and reports with a critical eye, identifying gaps or inconsistencies before they become problems. You maintain thorough documentation of project activities, helping to support both accountability and future reference. These skills translate into confident project delivery in a setting where details have real impact.
