Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will be knowledgeble with general maintenance & repairs. The goal is to ensure that the hotel is in a good & safe condition at all times.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect the hotel regularly to determine problems & necessary maintenance;

Ø Maintain inventory of all materials & equipment, and ensure proper storage;

Ø Comply with all health & safety regulations and practices on site;

Ø Conduct preventative maintaince work;

Ø Confuct follow-ups on all maintenance & repair work;

Ø Conduct safety inspections as scheduled;

Ø Contribute to the development of maintenance budget & ensure compliance;

Ø Complies with hotel policies & procedures;

Ø Performs other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Ø High School Diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus;

Ø Knowledge of all building systems (i.e. electrical, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, etc.)

Ø Computer savvy

Ø Knowledge of health & safety practices & policies

Ø A great eye for detail;

Ø Ability to identify issues & determine repairs that are needed;

Ø Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers & contractors, etc.

Ø Energetic & flexible

Physical Requirements:

Ø Prolonged periods of walking & standing;

Ø Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time;

Ø Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop & reach upwards;

Ø Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
