The Role
We are seeking an experienced hand on Production Manager to lead all manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics operations at our Winnipeg assembly facility. Reporting to the Chief of Operations (COO), you will own on-time delivery, cost, quality, and safety while driving continuous improvement in a growing, dynamic environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and develop four core teams (~25 people):
Purchasing & Planning
Warehouse & Material Handling
Assembly (modules and subassemblies build)
Logistics & Outbound Shipping
Directly manage the Production Engineer to design and implement efficient processes, fixtures, tooling, and line layouts
Ensure on-time availability and quality of components sourced from Canada, USA, Europe, and our India facility
Drive implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in production with minimal disruption
Own plant KPIs: on-time delivery, inventory accuracy & turns, labor efficiency, quality, safety, and total cost
Identify and execute cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives
Manage facility and equipment maintenance programs
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and third-party logistics partners
Prepare and present weekly/monthly production reports to senior leadership
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field is required. (Master's degree is an asset)
5–10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in heavy equipment, truck/trailer, agricultural machinery, or automotive assembly is required.
Proven track record managing production, materials, and logistics in a build-to-order or low-to-medium volume environment
Experience managing Engineering Change Notices (ECN/ECO process)
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Comfortable on the shop floor and equally confident presenting to executive leadership
