Electrical Engineer

Yeovil, Somerset £72 per hour - Depending on experience. Monday - Friday, (some flexibility)

Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with Honeywell in Yeovil, Somerset and have opportunities for an Electrical Engineer to work on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible.

• Support end to end electronics design lifecycle, from concept and requirements through production and in service support. Define and document electronics requirements, design plans, and specifications. Design analogue and digital circuits, progressing concepts through to complete PCB layouts and full manufacturing drawing packs. Produce all supporting design, verification, and test documentation required for certification and manufacturing. Participate in and contribute to design reviews, clearly communicating technical content to both technical and non technical stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all relevant quality processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Work closely with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth new product introduction, including PCB build, assembly, test, and system integration. Provide expert technical support for manufacturing issues and in service investigations across the product range.

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline. 3+ years of electronics design experience within aerospace or another highly regulated sector (e.g., nuclear, rail). Strong understanding of electronics design principles and industry best practices. Proficient in low power digital circuit design. Solid understanding of low frequency analogue interface design. Experience using industry standard ECAD tools (Mentor Graphics preferred). Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFT (Design for Test) methodologies. Familiarity with EMC design and qualification requirements. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.

• Competitive pay rate of £72 per hour - Depending on experience

• Standard core hours: 09:00-16:00 Monday-Thursday, 09:00-12:00 on Friday, with some flexibility.
