Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and aligning solutions accordingly
- Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms while ensuring mutual value creation
- Drive business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and expanding our reach into new markets
- Collaborate with marketing and technical sales teams to develop customized proposals and presentations that meet client objectives
- Utilize CRM tools to track account activity, sales pipelines, and customer interactions for strategic planning
- Conduct regular analysis of account performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement
- Engage in warm-calling efforts to reconnect with existing clients and generate new leads, fostering trust and loyalty
- Work intimately with the operations team to ensure execution of booked business with clients is efficient and meets the client's needs throughout the lifecycle of an order.
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to set and achieve sales goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management with a focus on building long-term client relationships
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for persuasive presentations
- Demonstrated ability in business development and strategic planning within competitive markets
- Proficiency with a CRM platform for managing customer data and sales processes
- Proficient in full suite of MS Office programs
- Ability to lead initiatives independently while collaborating seamlessly across teams
- Strong technical background in over-the-road transportation considered an important asset
- Strong understanding of transportation modes (trucking, rail, ocean), freight rate structures, and industry trends
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle regulations, National Safety Code (NSC) standards, road bans, and other applicable restrictions across North America is an asset
- Must be able to work and collaborate in a true team environment
- Understanding of contractual language and commercial terms is an asset.

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
