Mechanic

Job description:

With a modern fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment, we are
seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to service and maintain our
Fleet.

Responsibilities and Duties

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and equipment
Diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of motor truck and equipment.
Perform daily repairs and preventive maintenance and inspections
Ability to troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and
malfunctions, determine extent of repair required, adjust equipment,
and repair or replace defective parts.
Ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
A technician that will perform duties with little or no supervision
and in a timely and efficient manner.
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
Keep maintenance records and documentation and complete paperwork
daily for each machine serviced.
Inspect, maintain and use required personal protective equipment to
ensure safety.
Mobile repairs on the road are required.
Ensure shop/repair facility is maintained in a safe manner and is
always clean and tidy.

Requirements:

Experience working on heavy trucks and equipment machinery
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
310T License
Minimum 3 years' experience working on heavy equipment.
Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR required
Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, motors, and air
brake systems.
Must have necessary hand tools.
Strong organizational skills
Fleet Maintenance environment experience considered and asset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliability and attention to detail
