Customer Service & Yard Worker – Seasonal

Full-Time | 40% Indoor / 60% Outdoor | Mid- March 2026

Greenhorizons grows and harvests a wide variety of sod on over 4,000 acres across farms in Cambridge, Hamilton, London, and our specialty turf farm in Burford. We operate sod outlets in Oakville, and Niagara. We supply landscape depots and select retailers, including Home Depot and Lowe's.

BigYellowBag, an anchor brand of Greenhorizons, delivers soil in convenient one-cubic-yard bags directly to homeowners and has expanded to over 60 licensed territories across North America.

We are a small, close-knit, and enthusiastic team seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Oakville location. Greenhorizons provides high-quality sod, soil, mulch, seed, and fertilizer, as well as BigYellowBag products for both wholesale and retail customers. We take pride in offering excellent products and exceptional service.

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist customers professionally
• Experience with heavy machinery an asset (e.g., forklifts, loaders)
• Enter and manage customer orders
• Provide product knowledge and recommendations
• Load vehicles and transports with sod and soil (training provided)
• Operate forklifts and tractors (training provided)
• Maintain clean, safe indoor and outdoor work areas
• Support general yard and operational tasks

What We're Looking For

• Prior customer service experience is an asset
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Positive, team-oriented, and self-motivated
• Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in various conditions
• Reliable transportation

No prior heavy equipment experience is required — full training provided.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 6:30am–5:00pm
• Saturday: 7:45am–3:00pm (July–November: 7:45am–12:00pm) Closed Sundays
• Hours may vary based on seasonal demand
• Must be available to work these hours in an outdoor environment
• Position will fill a vacancy, starting Mid- March 2026
