Sushi Aboard is Vancouver's premier bullet train sushi destination Located in the vibrant West End on Denman Street, we've introduced a high-tech, fun, and fast-paced dining concept to the city. Our signature express train delivery system brings fresh, high-quality Japanese cuisine directly to our guests. We are currently looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join our back-of-house team and help us deliver excellence with every plate.

Job Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Plating & Presentation: Ensure every dish meets our high standards for taste, quality, and visual appeal before it hits the tracks.
• Order Management: Efficiently use our unique food delivery system to send out customer orders accurately and on time.
• Inventory Control: Manage ingredients and supplies, ensuring maximum freshness, proper rotation, and availability.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation, strictly following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Teamwork: Coordinate seamlessly with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Some experience as a cook, chef, or in a similar professional kitchen role.
• Culinary Skills: Intermediate knife skills and a solid understanding of Japanese cuisine
• Location & Eligibility: Must be currently living in Vancouver and legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Work Ethic: Ability to stay calm and work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for kitchen coordination.
• Passion: A genuine love for cooking and a commitment to food quality and creativity.
