Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President provides enterprise-wide leadership and operational oversight for all Human Resources functions, including workforce strategy, talent management, employee and labour relations, compensation and benefits, pay equity, policy development, privacy, health and safety, Volunteer Services, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). As a trusted advisor to the CEO and the Board of Directors, the Vice President delivers evidence-based analysis, reporting, and recommendations on organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and regulatory compliance. Working collaboratively with senior leaders, employees, volunteers, and external partners, the Vice President optimizes human and financial resources, ensures legal and legislative compliance, advances inclusive and respectful workplace practices, and strengthens organizational performance, culture, and the employee experience.
Leading a broad human resources portfolio with a team of four direct reports, the ideal candidate is a senior Human Resources generalist with experience supporting complex organizations. You have expertise in employee relations and investigations, organizational design and change management, compensation and total rewards, job evaluation and pay equity, employment agreements, HR policy and program development, budgeting, workforce cost forecasting, and the integration of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across people practices. You possess knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance requirements and have proven experience advising executive teams and presenting to Boards of Directors. A strategic and systems thinker, you are recognized for sound judgment, integrity, discretion, and political acuity.Your leadership style is collaborative, service-oriented, and grounded in accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting affordable childcare for families as the sector continues to evolve.
