Role Description
This is a remote volunteer role for a Senior WordPress Designer/Developer. The Senior WordPress Designer/Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization's WordPress-based website. This includes creating custom themes and plugins, optimizing the website for performance and user experience, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and ensuring website security. The role involves collaborating with content creators and stakeholders to align the website functionality with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Proficiency in WordPress development, including creating custom themes, plugins, and working with APIs.
Website optimisation, performance testing, and improving user experience.
Understanding of website security and implementation of best practices to protect site content and user data.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Previous experience managing non-profit or educational websites is a plus.
Knowledge of climate change or a passion for environmental sustainability is beneficial.
