About the Role
One of Enabled Talent's clients is looking for an experienced Interim Website Lead to step in while their internal website lead is on parental leave. This is a hands-on ownership role for someone who enjoys stabilizing existing systems, shipping fast improvements, and laying the groundwork for more modern web capabilities.
This is not a maintenance-only role. You'll have real autonomy to prioritize, fix what's broken, and leave behind a cleaner, more scalable website foundation.
What You'll Do
Immediate priorities (Weeks 1–4):
Triage backlog and ship weekly improvements across UX, performance, and content workflows
Fix broken or outdated elements, mobile UX issues, and site credibility gaps
Improve site performance (Core Web Vitals, caching, image optimization, plugin cleanup)
Build reusable Elementor templates and sections to improve consistency and speed
Ongoing (3–4 months):
Support marketing with fast-turn landing pages, forms, and campaign updates
Improve analytics tracking (GA4/GTM events, conversions, funnels)
Build and maintain dynamic showcase experiences (programs, mentors, directories)
Help define and prototype a practical path toward a more modern stack (React / )
Document systems and handoff cleanly for the returning website lead
Must-Have Skills
Strong WordPress + Elementor experience (performance, templates, debugging, best practices)
Solid front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design)
Comfort with React and modern component-based development (TypeScript / a plus)
Experience owning delivery end-to-end (scoping, prioritization, shipping weekly)
Performance-first mindset (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, page weight discipline)
Nice-to-Have
Experience with modern CMS or headless patterns
Technical SEO fundamentals
Experience migrating or bridging from WordPress to modern stacks
Integrations with CRMs, forms, and analytics tools
What Success Looks Like
By the end of the contract:
The website is faster, clearer, and easier to maintain
Marketing can launch campaigns without long wait times
Program visibility and user journeys are materially improved
There is a documented path forward with reusable components and foundations in place
