Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Software Product & Business Development Intern/Co-op role located in Saskatoon, SK In this role, you will assist in developing, testing, and designing software products, while supporting business development efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions, use programming skills to enhance product functionality, and contribute to the growth of the company's smart technology offerings. Additionally, you may support tasks such as gathering business requirements, creating technical documentation, and conducting product demonstrations.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Software Development and Software Design
Strong skills in Programming and Databases
Experience with Testing software systems and applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with IoT technologies or smart systems is an asset
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Core Responsibilities:
Software Development Leadership (50%)
Lead software development activities with external development partners
Prepare technical frameworks, architecture specifications, and requirements documents
Draft and manage contracts: NDAs, Master Service Agreements, IP ownership agreements
Conduct quality audits of code, architecture, and security practices
Research and evaluate potential software development companies (Pakistan and international)
Coordinate vendor relationships and ensure 3AZ maintains code ownership
Perform market research on competitors, features, pricing, and industry trends
Track development progress and manage project timelines
Business Development & Client Engagement (50%)
Build relationships with Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce members through virtual and face-to-face meetings
Explain 3AZ's vision for facility digitalization to potential clients and partners
Organize meetings between CEO and Chamber President and other key stakeholders
Meet with prospective clients (schools, universities, hospitals, retail) to gather requirements
Coordinate with Marketing/Event Manager to promote 3AZ at chamber events and trade shows
Plan and organize webinars showcasing our platform
Facilitate on-site digital consultancy sessions with Business Development Manager
Represent 3AZ professionally at networking events and business community gatherings
