Responsibilities
About the Team and Business Line

Through our network of global development centers, Citco invests heavily in technology innovation to ensure our clients continue to receive award-winning products.
We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer, Design Systems to join a Design System squad to evolve our company-wide design system. In this role, you will ensure a cohesive, scalable, and accessible experience across Citco's digital products. You will partner closely with product designers, engineering, and platform teams to create, maintain, and document reusable UI components, design tokens, and patterns that reinforce Citco's brand and design language. The position is based in Toronto and may require some international travel to other Citco locations. The Design Systems Designer will report to the Design Director, and partner with existing designers, engineers, platform owners as well as various business stakeholders.
Your Role
Leverage the use of design tokens to build responsive components in figma, component variants, patterns, templates in a scalable, enterprise-grade design system that supports Citco's digital product ecosystem
Define, document and maintain guidelines and best practices for component and pattern usage
Partner with product designers, platform/product owners and engineering teams to align requirements, identify edge-cases for components and patterns
Create high-fi prototypes to explore ideas and collaborate effectively with engineering during implementation
Manage feedback and contribution requests as you partner with various product teams to understand their unique constraints, and integrate their needs into the Design System
Train, onboard and enable teams to fully leverage the Design System
Facilitate design reviews, audits, and contribution models, ensuring high-quality system evaluation
Qualifications
About You
You must have a Bachelor's degree/certificate in HCI, Design, or similar discipline, or the equivalent education and experience
3 – 4 years of experience working on design systems, or enterprise product design
Proven track record of working on an enterprise-wide design system within a large, global organization
Strong command of typography, spacing, color theory, hierarchy, motion, and interaction design
Deep expertise in UI/UX best practices, accessibility (WCAG), and design systems
Experience level of experience working in Figma, or similar tools
Salary Range: CAD $95,000 - CAD $125,000
