The salary range for this position is $81,000 to $112,000. The final offer will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills, experience, and internal equity considerations. Please note that the offer may fall anywhere within the posted range and is not necessarily at the top end.

Overview:
This position will be responsible for supporting project construction activities, including monitoring the contractor's construction progress, reporting on construction activities and ensuring the contractor's compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Accountabilities:
Monitors the contractor's construction progress and provides daily site reports with observations, concerns and potential issues.,
Monitors on-site work to ensure the Contractor's compliance with professional and regulatory requirements, technical specifications, design drawings and Owner's requirements.
Builds and maintain relationships with the contractor's technical team, construction team and other disciplines as required.
Leads off-site and on-site quality reviews of completed works and provide support to the Province's Quality Manager in identifying potential non-conformances with the Contractor's team.
Attends construction meetings and supports the coordination and management of project interfaces between contractors and the mitigation of construction risks.
Provides support in monitoring on-site environmental and occupational health and safety compliance.
Provides advice, guidance, and support on issues related to construction, including resolution of disputes.
Liaises with external stakeholders (e.g. Metro Vancouver, BC Hydro, third-party developers) as is needed.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, or a relevant field with a speciality in Construction Management
Minimum of 5 years of field experience in construction of civil infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding and experience working with major project contracts, including language interpretation and administration.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work well individually and as a member of a team.
Strong project management skills.
Additional Requirement:
You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
