Perks
Flexible working hours of 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday (i.e., 37.5 hours per week).
Paid vacation starts at 4 weeks per year, and increases with years of service.

About The Position
We are searching for a permanent Software Architect to join our Information and Technology Services team.
PBC's compensation program is built on a pay-for-performance philosophy, rewarding both individual and organizational achievements. The typical hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on a combination of skills, education, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, you'll be eligible for our annual bonus program.

In this role, your impact comes from shaping better outcomes, not just better designs. You will influence how solutions are conceived, built, and sustained across the organization.
As a Software Architect, you'll shape solution direction early by helping teams and stakeholders explore options, trade-offs, and architectural approaches that balance business needs and technical sustainability.
This role enables delivery teams to move faster and with greater confidence by providing clear architectural guidance, patterns, and decision support.
You'll improve solution quality by embedding non-functional considerations such as security, privacy, resilience, performance, and operability into designs from the outset.
The architect reduces long-term risk and rework by identifying architectural gaps, dependencies, and constraints before they impact delivery.
In this role, you'll promote consistency and reuse across solutions by contributing to shared standards, reference architectures, and architectural decision records.
The Software Architect supports informed technology choices by evaluating platforms, frameworks, and emerging technologies where they can add meaningful value.
You'll strengthen collaboration across business, product, and engineering teams by acting as a trusted advisor and architectural partner.
In this role, you'll contribute to a culture of intentional architecture, where design decisions are transparent, pragmatic, and aligned with long-term organizational goals.
Key Experiences You Bring To This Role
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a major in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
5 – 8 years of experience in architecture design, development, and deployment, experience in infrastructure planning and operations, or a related field.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative Agile environment.
Expertise in one or more Microsoft technologies like C#/.NET, MS SQL Server, Office 365, SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.
Experience with Azure Public Cloud.
Experience with Architectural Frameworks (RUP 4+1 / TOGAF).
Knowledge of architectural and software design patterns, enterprise integration patterns, service-oriented architecture.
Knowledge of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and NoSQL.
