Your Tasks:
Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Lift up to 50 lbs.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
Participate in regular housekeeping activities to ensure a tidy and efficient workspace.
Ensure proper disposal of waste materials by transporting them to designated waste disposal sites.
Quality:
Ensure consistent and reliable processes by following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines.
Report any quality issues or defects to the supervisor immediately.
Record (foresight, SAP, traveler … etc) production activities (std. and actual hrs., production#, unit# etc.) accurately as
Per Company's Requirements
Maintenance:
Perform routine and preventive upkeep (including cleaning) and inspections of dept. equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the Team Lead or supervisor immediately.
Ensure proper tools management (storage, maintenance, etc.). Maintain an accurate inventory of tools.
Specific Responsibilities:
Operate cranes to rig, lift, transport, and load coils on and to W/R tables. Support critical lifts within the department (gantry moves).
Operate various Powered Industrial Trucks, cranes, scissor lift and work at heights. Support Supervisor with material availability (conductor availability and request, indirect W&R materials etc.).
Monitor production flow within W/R and assign coils to machines based on their limitation (available space, pan size, stabilizer, etc.) and as per given priority to maintain efficiency.
Maintain close communication with winder, rover, pre-peg and expeditor operators for priority alignment.
Inspect set-up base cylinders for defects (loose setup, tilting etc.) before/when placing them on the table.
Inspect coils before placing them into the oven for evident W/R quality defects and sign travelers.
Apply compound or other required chemicals to gaps and openings at ties, cable termination points, taps before placing the product in the oven.
Load, fire, and unload ovens. Ensure accurate data recording of the oven cycles and units inside them.
Support winders, rovers and pre-peg operators with the needed material (tapes, gloves, trays, etc.) and tools.
Support winders, rovers, pre-peg operators with their tasks (termination checks, rolling back cables, changing roving pay offs, installing ties and duct sticks, stripping vertical hybrids, manual resin/hardener mixing etc.)
Support Driver with conductor identification, pay off loading and oven loading/unloading.
Check and read required manufacturing documents.
Use measuring equipment, hand tools, air tools and power tools.
Other dues as assigned by the Supervisor or designate.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
An outstanding safety and quality conscious approach while performing work duties.
Excellent proficiency in English including demonstrated ability to follow verbal/written instructions and complete technical paperwork when needed
Flexibility to work 3 shift rotation is a requirement of the position.
Excellent attendance
Experience operating the overhead crane.
Familiarity with operational processes, work order drawings, manufacturing procedures and standards in the winding and roving departments.
