The school is located in the town of Peace River and serves students from grades 5-8. The school offers a high quality core academic program, consisting of English, French Immersion and French Second Language and a wide range of exploratory courses which include Art, Drama, Home Economics and Band.
Qualifications
Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
Experience and/or training working with student in school setting.
Ability to work with children with varied ages, skills level, needs and abilities.
Skills
Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.
Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.
Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs
Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
Assets: This school offers French programming to its students, knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.

This is a union position under the collective agreement between the
Rate Of Pay
$22.59 to $28.02 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
