About The Role
The Producer, Video & Photo helps Amii achieve its mission of 'AI for good and for all' by creating compelling visual content that resonates and connects people to explore the potential of AI with Amii.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Brand Operations, the Producer, Video & Photo supports the organization's business sustainability goals by bringing Amii stories and AI concepts to life through compelling video content that increases awareness and credibility, drives interest, and deepens relationships with both technical and non-technical audiences.
The position focuses on achieving excellence in four main accountabilities:
Video Production: Lead the entire video production process, from planning and storyboarding to shooting and editing, ensuring high-quality content that aligns with strategy and engages target audiences to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
Content Planning, Creation & Distribution: Create and distribute compelling content that connects with target audiences, drives engagement, and supports brand growth, lead identification, and revenue generation.
Content Performance & Optimization: Track content performance, using data and insights to test and refine strategies to continuously improve visibility, increase engagement, and drive growth and revenue targets.
Photography: Capture high-quality photo assets for use across digital and print channels to enhance storytelling, support campaigns, and document events and initiatives in alignment with Amii's brand.
Key Responsibilities
Required Skills / Expertise
Video Production
Plans, coordinates, and leads end to end video production, from scripting and storyboarding through shoots, editing, and post-production, ensuring timely delivery of high quality, engaging content
Contributes to creative direction and storytelling, supporting concept development, scripting, shot lists, and visual planning
Produces and supports audiovisual across live streams, All Hands meetings, and podcast recordings, etc
Collaborates with internal teams to align video strategies with overall brand messaging and objectives, while overseeing equipment, including video, lighting, and sound tools, to achieve the desired visual effects
Oversees post-production tasks, such as editing, sound design, and special effects, ensuring the final product is polished, effective, and aligned with brand goals
Supports cross-team video needs, including live streaming events, recording training videos, webinars, and other video content for various departments, while coordinating scheduling for shoots, post-production, and live events to optimize time and resources
Maintains the video recording studio, ensuring it is properly equipped and available for cross-team use and manages scheduling, maintenance, and equipment availability
Manages video production resources, including budgeting, expense tracking, and maintaining organized records of video assets, production tools, vendor contracts, and content calendars
Coordinates with external vendors for post-production services, managing contracts, invoicing, and delivery timelines
Ensures compliance with internal policies, copyright regulations, and data security standards for video content and production processes
Content Planning, Creation & Distribution
Contributes to the planning and execution of digital content strategy that aligns with organizational goals and enhances broader content campaigns
Creates a variety of digital content—including video, photo galleries, and mixed media—for use across multiple channels
Coordinates live and digital event video production, managing live shots, guest coordination, and taped elements
Coordinates live and digital event media capture
Distributes video content across digital channels (e.g. YouTube, social media, website) to maximize reach and engagement
Tracks performance metrics and uses insights to refine future digital content production strategies
Content Performance & Optimization
Continuously tests and refines digital content strategies based on audience insights and performance data
Contributes to tracking and analyzing of digital content performance metrics, including views, engagement, and conversions, to understand content effectiveness
Identifies opportunities for efficiency and improvements within the Marketing & Communications team, implementing strategies to optimize performance
Implements changes to digital content production processes and content formats to drive growth and improve results
Provides regular performance reports with recommendations for content optimization and future strategy adjustments
Photography
Plans and executes photography projects that support Amii's marketing and communications efforts, including portraits, event coverage, team culture, product storytelling, and brand campaigns
Maintains and manages photography equipment, including lighting and backdrops
Works closely with marketing, design, and content teams to produce photography that aligns with brand guidelines and campaign strategy
Organizes and archives photography assets for easy internal access and reuse
Selects and edits photos for use across digital and print materials (e.g., website, social, event collateral, media kits)
Coordinates with external photographers as needed for overflow or specialized projects
Qualifications
Post Secondary Degree, Diploma or Certificate in related field
5+ years of experience in commercial or newsroom video production
2+ years of hands-on experience in live video production, including multi-platform broadcast
2+ years of expertise in photography, including event and portrait photography
Expertise in the full video production process, from storyboarding to editing
Proficient in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
Proficient in DSLR/mirrorless cameras and editing tools (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop)
Knowledge of digital distribution platforms (YouTube, social media, websites)
Experience using a collaborative project management software (e.g., Jira)
Experience working within a technology-focused organization (nice to have)
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA)
Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills for effective interactions with internal departments and external stakeholders
Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, adapting content for various platforms and audiences
Exhibits strong decision-making and time-management skills to ensure timely project delivery
Manages a multi-stakeholder environment with excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
Applies project management principles to execute content creation strategies efficiently
