As the Manager, Quality Assurance and Test Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products and applications implemented at Westland. The position will entail establishing and executing quality standards and guidelines, as well as spearheading advancements in quality assurance. The Manager, Quality Assurance will support a dedicated QA Team, standardizing and continually maturing Westland's approach to Quality Assurance of software and application testing. You will sponsor major project initiatives and sustainment releases throughout the entire test lifecycle.
Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $102,400 - $128,000, with a 35-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

Why We'll Love You
You have over 6 years of experience leading QA teams in a mature IT environment
You have experience on large technology projects, including familiarity with common challenges, roles and responsibilities of resources, and fast-paced working environment
You are experienced with leading large, complex test projects containing multiple test events (in particular: smoke, performance, security, unit, integration, regression, UAT, production validation)
You have experience testing ERP and SaaS solutions
You are knowledgeable in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall, hybrid, and agile methodologies
You have exceptional communication skills, both orally, in written formats and interpersonally
You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic work environments and are able to keep track of complex testing plans
You are extremely detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrate a high degree of initiative
You preferably hold a professional QA certification
Once Here, You'll
Lead and mentor teams of QA professionals to ensure efficient and effective quality assurance testing practices
Approve, implement, and maintain quality assurance strategies, standards, and best practices to continually mature and improve Westland's QA practices
Communicate quality standards to QA team and other relevant stakeholders.
Represent the QA practice as a project stakeholder
Work closely with various groups and stakeholders leading and encouraging a culture of continual quality improvement
Work closely with vendor and/or development teams providing timely management and resolution of QA escalations and issues
Review and approve all Testing artifacts such as Test strategies, test plans and test summaries
Monitor QA metrics, including test coverage, defect trends, and test execution progress
Lead successful completion of all QA related project RAID log, project lessons learned and other action items
Work with QA Leads to ensure currency of QA test tool sets and libraries
Review and approve QA training material utilized to facilitate training sessions with business resources that do not have familiarity with QA practices or test phases
Proactively manage risks and issues, communicating, and escalating as needed across multiple stakeholders from Test Governance, Project, Business and Delivery Management
Responsible for team delivery of high-quality test artifacts that support project milestone completion
Mentor team members on QA best practices and testing activities
Capacity and resource management of the QA teams
Participate in projects/programs where appropriate and in line with skill sets and development interests
Establish and manage the QA team annual operating plan, ensuring the optimal financial and human resources allocation to support business needs
Monitor and control costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting
