Role description
Nomura is searching for a Business Intelligence technology engineer that will be part of our global BI platform team and help drive BI platform strategies.
The candidate will be located in Philadelphia and will be a member of Global Core Infrastructure Team, with focus on Business Intelligence Products Cloud adoption, Engineering, Automations and Support.
Nomura is looking for someone keen to make an impact on BI technologies through cloud adoption and automation. The candidate will continuously contribute various strategies across BI technologies, with the objective to continuously keep pace with the fast-evolving technology industry.
Responsibilities: Be an Independent contributor for managing BI Products used within organization mainly Microsoft PowerBI Strategize, analyse security and Identity constraints in Cloud adoption for the BI service on Azure / AWS / other Public cloud platforms. Engineer frameworks and Automate processes along with Production support for BI Products and Platform services. Provide Product consultancy service on BI products. Vendor management for enhancements, fixes and issue resolution Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
Required
At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure platform. Experience in one of 2 below, and interested to learn the other Product engineering and administration of BI products (primarily PowerBI) Working Knowledge of Azure and PowerBI Service Good communication skills. Self-motivated, Quick and Eager to Learn and develop. Preferred
Experience in Automation and Automation tools: Python, Ansible Additional knowledge of products within the BI stack (BusinessObjects, Informatica,Tableau, Qlik) is an advantage. Working knowledge of any RDBMS. Experience in any infrastructure support. Demonstrate an ability to work well in a high pressure and technically challenging environment, as part of a team and on their own when required. Nomura Competencies
