Project Quantity Surveyor

A leading construction consultancy is seeking a commercially focused Project Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major Energy and Utilities infrastructure scheme in London. This Quantity Surveyor role will see you providing professional quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle, working closely with clients and technical teams. The Project Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for cost planning, procurement and post-contract quantity surveying on complex infrastructure works. This Quantity Surveyor opportunity offers exposure to regulated utilities projects and the chance to strengthen your commercial management experience within a client-facing quantity surveying environment.

The Role As the Project Quantity Surveyor you will work alongside project managers, engineers and client representatives throughout the project lifecycle.

The role will include:Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets and feasibility estimatesManaging tender documentation, bills of quantities and procurement processesAdvising on procurement routes and contract strategiesUndertaking valuations, change control and cost reportingManaging variations, claims and final accountsIdentifying commercial and contractual risks and advising on mitigation strategies

The Project Quantity Surveyor? You will be commercially aware, organised and confident operating in a client-facing infrastructure environment.

The Project Quantity Surveyor must have:A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineStrong knowledge of NEC contractsExperience within infrastructure, utilities or transport projectsProficiency in software such as Excel, Word and CostXClear communication and stakeholder management skillsIdeally chartered or working towards RICS
