Team Overview: The Developer Experience (DevX) team is dedicated to empowering all engineers at Coinbase to create high-quality products while maintaining productivity and engagement. We provide the necessary infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, and tools to streamline the development of top-notch applications. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of the frontend experience for the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), which serves as Coinbase's comprehensive Developer Hub. Develop and maintain React components and pages that work seamlessly with Infrastructure products, including release pipelines, configuration management systems, asset management systems, real-time usage data, quality scores, and service documentation. Work closely with backend engineers, designers, and API publishers to create workflows that facilitate the publishing, discovery, and evaluation of APIs. Enhance the quality and design of internal tools used daily by hundreds of engineers. Improve the accessibility, performance, and reliability of the IDP UI. Collaborate with Staff Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to shape the product roadmap and user experience (UX) priorities. Contribute to Coinbase's broader design system and internal frontend libraries. What We Are Looking For: A minimum of 2 years of experience in building modern, data-rich web applications using React or similar frameworks. Proven experience in developing and launching user-facing features via component-based UI frameworks. Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in frontend architecture, focusing on performance, security, and usability. Familiarity with product and design lifecycles, with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and product managers. A commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience launching new products from inception to execution. Background in working through rapid company growth, from startup stages to mid-size. Experience with frontend development in the finance or platform services domains. At least 1 year of experience in developing React applications. Proficiency with Golang, GraphQL, Docker, and NoSQL databases. Location: San Francisco, CA Salary range for this role is $186,065-$218,900 USD, with eligibility for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
