Immediate needs for an experienced Quality Assurance Lab Technician in a heavy industrial mill setting. $17-24/hr based on experience. 12-hour shifts. Call or text today to schedule your interview! Temp-to-Hire position $ 17.00 to $ 24.00 / hour Full Time work available Weekend work required First Shift (Monday through Saturday from 06:00am to 06:00pm) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts) Collect product samples from steel coil, pipe, and tubing products. Prepare samples accurately to the proper size and condition for various tests. Conduct and evaluate a range of mechanical and chemical tests, including: Mechanical Testing Chemical Testing Charpy Impact Testing Hardness Testing (Rockwell B & Micro) Metallographic Testing (grain structure, annealing, weld micros) Perform defect evaluations. Operate non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment, including ultrasonic testing and visual inspection tools. Accurately enter and organize all test results using company-specific systems. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: This role operates within a non-climate-controlled industrial shop environment. Quality Assurance Lab Tech Qualifications: Experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality control role in industrial setting is required Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and evaluations. Proficiency in data entry and basic computer systems. Previous experience or coursework in Quality Assurance principles preferred Familiarity with steel manufacturing processes and terminology preferred Applicant may be subject to a background check Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment *A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
