Position Summary
The Sales Representative at Grimco is a key member of the territory sales team, responsible for managing inbound phone and chat communications, processing orders, providing exceptional customer support, and collaborating with other sales roles to drive revenue. Inside Sales Reps are the frontline of customer interaction and play a critical role in building relationships, solving problems, and keeping the sales engine running smoothly. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, a friendly and energetic demeanor, and a deep understanding of Grimco's products and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound & Digital Communication: Promptly assist customers via phone, email, chat, and web orders; remain available and responsive across all channels.
Order Management: Accurately enter customer orders and ensure timely, precise processing.
Customer Experience: Deliver positive, solution-focused service across the entire sales process — from quote or order entry through delivery and follow-up, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
Support for Outside Sales: Provide quotes, follow up on orders, communicate lead times, and help fulfill customer needs.
Account Maintenance: Proactively maintain existing customer relationships, ensuring strong ongoing business in addition to growth opportunities.
Upselling: Identify opportunities to increase order value and promote complementary products.
Outbound Calling: Participate in targeted outbound call projects to support team goals and customer re-engagement.
Lead Sharing: Pass along qualified leads to the appropriate hybrid or outside sales rep for follow-up.
Issue Resolution: Handle problems independently when possible, escalating only when necessary.
Product & Process Knowledge: Maintain fluency in company products, procedures, and sales systems.
Team Contribution: Collaborate with peers to reach team goals, maintain a positive work environment, and share best practices.
CRM Administration: Maintain up-to-date customer records in 360+, ensuring accurate data that supports scorecard measurements of customer experience, product knowledge, and account health.
Qualifications
1–3+ years of customer service or sales support experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Comfortable using phones, email, chat tools, and CRM systems.
Enthusiastic, proactive, and team-focused.
Familiarity with sales order system and product offering.
