Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Markham, ON for an Architectural Technologist. The Architectural Technologist will work closely with the design and construction teams to create detailed technical drawings, including architectural and working drawings, while ensuring all designs comply with building codes and regulations. The role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project requirements are met and deliverables are achieved efficiently. Primary responsibility will be to submit and obtain necessary building permits. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong technical expertise and a passion for creating exceptional designs.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Architectural Technology, including expertise in building codes, design software, and architectural processes.
Strong skills in creating Technical Drawings and Working Drawings.
Experience in developing comprehensive Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings.
Attention to detail and precision in design and drafting work.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
Proficiency with relevant architectural software and tools, such as Chief Architect or similar platforms.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
Previous experience in residential design and construction is an asset.
