The Role
The Sr. Clinical Learning & Development Lead is a key strategic partner to AmeriVet's medical leadership and People & Culture teams, responsible for designing and delivering scalable learning and development initiatives that strengthen clinical leadership capability, engagement, and career growth across the organization.
This role brings to life AmeriVet's career development strategy through structured onboarding programs, leadership development experiences, curriculum design, and enterprise-wide soft skill development initiatives. The Sr. Clinical Learning & Development Lead, under supervision of the Sr. Director of Learning & Development, works to translate organizational priorities into practical learning solutions that support clinician success, leadership readiness, and long-term retention.
Operating within a multi-site, multi-state veterinary organization, this role partners cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and clinical leaders to ensure development programs are aligned to business strategy, reinforce culture, and scale consistently across practices.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Partners with medical leadership to design and deliver leadership development programming focused on communication, coaching, feedback, accountability, and team effectiveness.
Designs, develops, and maintains role-based learning pathways for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, clinical leaders and employees aligned to AmeriVet's career development framework.
Leads the development and continuous improvement of clinical onboarding programs to accelerate readiness, engagement, and cultural alignment.
Curates and develops learning content that supports broad-scale workforce development, including emotional intelligence, collaboration, conflict management, and leadership effectiveness.
Facilitates instructor-led and virtual learning experiences for clinicians and leaders across the organization.
Collaborates with Operations, HR, and field leadership to identify development needs and translate business priorities into scalable learning solutions.
Supports enterprise engagement initiatives through structured learning opportunities that promote career growth and professional development.
Leads and supports enterprise clinical training initiatives, including monthly DVM and veterinary technician learning programs.
Provides consultation and resources to Medical Directors and practice leaders to support local team development and coaching.
Leverages learning data, participation metrics, and feedback insights to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve programs.
Maintains strong working knowledge of AmeriVet's learning management system (LMS), supporting reporting, analytics, user engagement, and system optimization.
Partners cross-functionally to support compliance and required training initiatives where appropriate.
Maintains awareness of industry trends, adult learning practices, and veterinary workforce development needs to continuously evolve programming.

Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree required degree in organizational development, education, human resources, veterinary science, or related field preferred.
Clinical or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, including veterinary medicine, human healthcare, or other clinical service settings.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in learning & development, clinical education, leadership development, or organizational development, or healthcare education environments required.
Experience partnering with clinical or medical leadership to design and deliver development programs preferred.
Demonstrated experience designing curriculum, facilitating training, and supporting leadership development initiatives required.
This role is classified Remote with the ability to travel up to 20% as required.
