We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy distribution center in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accuracy, maintaining high Safety standards, and contributing to the overall productivity of our logistics team. This position requires a certified, skilled operator who understands the importance of careful material handling and adherence to all Safety protocols. Proper use of PPE is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and Securement.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas, maintaining clear aisles and organized storage.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues or required maintenance.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock verification as needed.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, prioritizing a hazard-free work environment.
- Maintain accurate logs of operational activities.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may include some manual Lifting.
- Ensure all required PPE is worn correctly during all operational hours.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics flow by performing tasks promptly and accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current, valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is a plus.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE.
