We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. You will ensure the efficient and safe operation of the facility, manage staff performance, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and Logistics efficiency. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment are essential. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage day-to-day warehouse operations and staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of orders, receiving, and shipping.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse team members.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety .
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations.
- Manage equipment maintenance and facility upkeep.
- Oversee the proper use of PPE by all staff.
- Optimize warehouse Logistics for maximum efficiency.
- Manage tasks involving significant Lifting and material movement to ensure safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Logistics .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to manage staff, delegate tasks, and motivate a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS).
- Ability to understand and oversee tasks involving heavy Lifting and safe handling practices.
- Experience with ensuring proper use of PPE .
