As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in a variety of crucial tasks, including the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, accurate order picking and packing, inventory management, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. This role demands a strong commitment to operational excellence, accuracy, and adherence to strict safety protocols. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify inbound goods.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with high accuracy.
- Sort and stock inventory in designated locations.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the distribution center.
- Adhere to all safety standards and utilize required PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Support the smooth flow of goods throughout the logistics chain.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily targets.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is highly valued.
- Ability to consistently lift up to 60 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in working with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding role.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
