We are seeking a strong and efficient Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Provo, Utah. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the safe and timely movement of materials throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, highly organized, and possess a strong commitment to workplace Safety . As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for various tasks including loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from production or storage areas, and ensuring materials are staged correctly for shipment or further processing. You will work with a variety of equipment and materials, always prioritizing safety and accuracy. Proper use of PPE is mandatory, and comprehensive training will be provided on all procedures and equipment. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and substantial Lifting , often requiring the ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
- Ensure materials are properly identified, stored, and organized.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including banding, wrapping, and labeling.
- Follow all warehouse operational procedures and prioritize tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Report any damaged goods, equipment malfunctions, or Safety hazards immediately.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all Safety guidelines.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
