We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in San Francisco, California. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse and logistics equipment. You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of various warehouse machinery, ensuring minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct safety inspections of all warehouse equipment and systems.
- Ensure all machinery is operating according to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to address equipment-related concerns.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE during all tasks.
- Assist with the implementation of new equipment and technologies.
- Ability to perform lifting of parts and equipment up to 70 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical/electrical fields preferred.
- Proven experience as a warehouse technician, maintenance mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical controls.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to work in various warehouse environments, including performing lifting tasks.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
