We are seeking reliable and efficient Picker/Packers to join our warehouse team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and speed will be key to ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. This is a vital position within our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Package orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate packing materials.
- Apply shipping labels and ensure all required documentation is affixed.
- Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy through proper stock handling.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed for order fulfillment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or equipment issues.
- Regularly perform lifting of products weighing up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand order details and product information.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 40 lbs consistently.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and order fulfillment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
